Family Dinner via

Cathy’s brother and his wife (Michael and Tamara) were in town so we invited them to dinner along with their cousin Steve and his wife Carole. They especially like Matsuhisa, Nobu’s Japanese restaurant in Beverly Hills. We decided to make two courses that he made famous and that we love!

We had to start with Crab Dynamite. It is our go to 1st course. Everyone loves it and it has the advantage that it can be assembled in the morning and then just needs to be popped into the oven at the last minute. You can get the recipe for this fantastic dish from our blog of: September 5, 2010. Click the date to get the recipe. This is a keeper and great. Try it!

For the main course, we made Black Cod with Miso and Japanese Rice. We first had this dish at Matsuhisa RestaurantIt is amazing that we can make it almost as well as Nobu. It is an exceptional dish. We serve it with Seaweed Salad. You can get the recipe from our blog of: May 12, 2012. Click the date to get the recipe.

Pork Curry

Our friend Shumon made Pork Curry and brought it over to our house for dinner. In addition we served fantastic Nicaraguan Nacatamales. Unlike regular Tamales these are boiled not steamed. We were very surprised. They are exceptionally light. We really like them.
