Jar-B-Que and Orchid's Tangy Noodles

We started with a Spring Salad of Goat Cheese, Candied Pecans and fresh Cherries. It was a very different Salad for us and we really liked it.

We made Jar-B-Que because we like it and we knew we would have leftover Char Sui Pork. You can get the recipe for Jar-B-Que and the reason we call the dish Jar-B-Que on our blog of: July 30, 2012. Click the date to get the recipe. This is a great way to make Pork Chops!

With the Pork we made Orchids Tangy Noodles from The Modern Art of Chinese Cooking. This is always a hit and when prepared ahead of time only gets better. The recipe can be found in our blog entry of: July 4, 2007. Click the date to get the recipe.

Asparagus with Chopped Egg

Asparagus with Chopped Egg is a wonderful way to prepare Asparagus. In a sauce pan brown a couple of tablespoons of Butter. Steam the Asparagus 3 to 4 minutes. Remove the Asparagus and plate. Salt and Pepper to taste, drizzle the Brown Butter over the Asparagus and dollop on Chopped Egg. It makes for a delicious first course.

Asparagus Pasta

Spring means Asparagus season! Asparagus Pasta is a regular for us, we will make it several times. This is one of those dishes that could make me a vegetarian! I key to this dish is to use excellent Parmesan Cheese. It is the best! This is also a dish that reheats well. Like all of our pastas if you plan to reheat them save some of the Pasta water and sprinkle a little on the pasta when you reheat it. It will enhance the taste. You can find the recipe for the Asparagus Pasta on our blog of: April 17, 2007. Click the date to get the recipe. We started with a simple Salad.

Marrakech-Style Veal Tangia with Asparagus

We had left over Marrakech-Style Veal Tangia, we served it with Egg Noodles. It makes a great leftover, and is easy to reheat. We started with Asparagus topped with Burrata and Brown Butter. An excellent dinner! You can get the recipe on our blog of: December 3, 2009. Click the date to get the recipe.

Pork and Asparagus Fried Rice

We decided to make Pork Fried Rice with our leftover Pork. Since we had Fresh Asparagus we decided to add it to the Fried Rice. It was great. We use our recipe for Lobster Fried Rice which is a variation of the recipe for Crab Fried Rice. None the less it tasted great! You can get the recipe for Fried Rice from our blog of: April 4, 2013. Click the date to get the recipe.

Marrakech-Style Veal Tangia with Smen and Preserved

Marrakech-Style Veal Tangia with Smen and Preserved Lemons is a delicious Moroccan recipe. It reminds of our travels in Morocco, where we had many Tangines. We serve it with Cous-Cous. I like dishes that are cooked in Clay Pots. There is something ancient about the technique that adds a mystique to the process. Of course, the food was excellent. There are some cooking ingredients that add a unique flavor to dish. Preserved Lemons are one. The salty acidity of the Preserved Lemons adds a sharpness to the flavors. You can get the recipe on our blog of: December 3, 2009. Click the date to get the recipe. We started with a Salad.
