Moroccan Fish Tagine

Pat and Doshi were coming back from a meditation retreat. They spent the night at our house. Although I expected them to be glowing with spirituality, all they could talk about was how bad the food was at the retreat. I am glad we were able satisfy their more earthly desires.

We started with a Feta Salad With Anise Bread, Tomatoes And Oregano from the Moro Cookbook. You can find the recipe on our blog of: August 28, 2007. Click the date to get the recipe.

For the main course we made Moroccan Fish Tagine with Tomatoes, Olives, and Preserved Lemons. We love this dish. The recipe can be found on our blog of: July 31, 2010. Click the date to get the recipe. We of course served the Tagine with Couscous.

When we were in Mexico City we had an eggnog like drink called Rompope. Oh boy do people like it! It is only 8% alcohol but it is extremely rich. In one cafĂ© they served me a sample of Rompope a la Canela. I bought a bottle and brought it home in one piece. We purchased the Rompope at DelirioGo there if you are ever in Mexico City. I am going to try and find it at a Mexican grocery here in Los Angeles.
